Angie Harmon was born on August 10, 1972, in Dallas, Texas. She was born to Lawrence Paul Harmon and Daphne Demar, and she was named after his mother. Her father worked for a hospital information network in Texas. He has German and Irish ancestry, while her mother is Greek.

Finely, Avery, and Emery are their three daughters. They live together, and they all go to the same school. When the couple decided to end their marriage in November 2014, they did so after 13 years together.
As a Republican, Angie Harmon is in favor of the then-Presidential candidate George W. Bush, who died in 2009. She also gave a speech at the 2004 Republican National Convention.
