He was born on March 9th, 1980. His father, John Gubler, is a lawyer, and his mother is a political consultant, rancher, and former chair of the Nevada Republican Party. They both worked for the party.
He went to high school at the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, where he majored in acting and did a lot of theater. When he finished college in 2002, he went to the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He studied filmmaking and directing there.
Career
Matthew Gray Gubler started working in modeling as soon as he finished college in 2002. DNA Model Management was the first company he worked with. Over the next two years, he became a well-known name in the New York fashion world. He worked with big names like Kate Spade, Tommy Hilfiger, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Marc Jacobs, and so on.
Matthew Gray Gubler started working for Wes Anderson in 2004 while he was still modeling. He was told to try out for a movie part. He was later cast in the movie “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.”
In 2005, he was cast as Dr. Spencer Reid in the TV show “Criminal Minds,” which is about a police procedural. As a result, the show was one of the most watched shows of the year, with good ratings. Another thing he does is help make music videos. Because he worked on the music video for “Don’t Shoot Me Santa” by the rock band “The Killers,” he helped make it. His work on the music video for “Dirt Sledding,” a song by the same band, was also very good. This song was released in November 2015.
