Childhood and Early Life
He was born on March 9th, 1980. His father, John Gubler, is a lawyer, and his mother is a political consultant, rancher, and former chair of the Nevada Republican Party. They both worked for the party.
He went to high school at the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, where he majored in acting and did a lot of theater. When he finished college in 2002, he went to the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He studied filmmaking and directing there.

Another thing he does is help make music videos. Because he worked on the music video for “Don’t Shoot Me Santa” by the rock band “The Killers,” he helped make it. His work on the music video for “Dirt Sledding,” a song by the same band, was also very good. This song was released in November 2015.
A lot of people know Matthew Gray Gubler for playing Dr. Spencer Reid, an FBI agent, on the CBS crime drama show “Criminal Minds.” A lot of people also want to work with him. He’s worked with a lot of well-known designers as a model.

Besides his brother, Gray Gubler, he has a sister named Laura Dahl, who is a fashion designer, and they both live together.
